Santorini is world renowned for many things, including its unique landscapes and its fierce beauty. The lunar-shaped beaches and the local products are also great features of the island. Ifaisteia is a fabulous festival taking place over the last few years on the island and it has attracted the interest of all travelers. Throughout the festival, the volcano becomes active again and everybody gets to see its magnitude. Of course, the activity of the volcano is reflected through the use of fireworks. The boats come from different parts of the island and meet, in order to rescue the people that have dived into the sea. This is a representation of the latest volcanic eruption in 1950s.
